The pending state takeover of Memphis schools has been paused – again. The Daily Memphian reports.
The takeover was orchestrated by Gov. Bill Lee and the legislature’s GOP supermajority.
It’s not clear – yet – whether the state-appointed board will actually gain authority over Memphis schools this year.
